About Me
I've written through hardship through most of my life...
My Story
I was raised in Frederick, MD by two God-loving parents who taught me the value of reading at an early age. I grew up writing short stories and poems and reading mystery and thriller novels by reknowned authors. After being diagnosed with depression at 14, I developed an interest in nonfiction and used my experience living in psychiatric hospitals and residential treatment centers to guide my research and writing.
My early adulthood was a mixture of learning and hardship. I studied Journalism at Ashford University and Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire Universitity while gaining tremndous insight into my personal battle with mental illness, After experiencing a long depressive episode, I published a collection of articles on mental health, addiction, and self-improvement and went on to to promote mental health awareness, literacy, and empowerment through my writing.
While honing my writing skills, I've overcome childhood trauma and learned to battle intrusive thoughs. I've ghostwritten hundreds of articles for companies that teach readers how to solve problems, from short, advice-based posts, to full-length explainers and guides. In 2017, I moved to Silver Spring, MD to write content for businesses and further my writing career.
